Due to high levels of demand for this service, it is advised to attend early — places fill quickly. During your visit to the clinic you will be offered a rapid HIV test with a result before you leave the clinic. This is a nurse-led clinic. There is no doctor present and so we cannot offer PEP, treatment or vaccines.
This is a full service clinic for MSM and the Trans community i. There are a limited number of walk-in places available for this clinic which is dependent on the number of return patients with appointments and the number of doctors available at the clinic. If you have symptoms or concerns, it is advised to attend early. Due to sustained high demand for this service, we cannot guarantee entry to the clinic for all those who attend.
Group Psychotherapy Program and Support Groups
If you have an appointment and you can no longer attend, please contact the clinic on 01 to reschedule. Missed appointments results in others in need of this service being turned away. If you have an appointment, please let security at the front desk know and come straight down into clinic and check in with clinic staff. You must ensure that you have checked-in with clinic staff as you will not be called otherwise. The clinic experiences a high demand and so can be very busy. Please be assured that we want to make your visit as efficient as possible, but delays may be experienced.
Should you be unable to gain entry to the clinic you may attend the next clinic date or we can give you information about other sexual health services that you can avail of. Your visit will also include a consultation with the doctor about PrEP including a prescription if needed. PrEP is not available at this clinic. If you have no symptoms but would like a routine check-up on your sexual health.
Places are limited and so patients are seen on a first-come-first-served basis. As there is no doctor available at this outreach clinic, we cannot offer vaccinations or screening for those who present with symptoms. The HPV vaccine is available for all men who have sex with men under the age of 45, free of charge. Results are generally returned in 1 week but this may take up to 2 weeks during busy periods. In certain circumstances you may have an initial result for chlamydia or gonorrhoea at the clinic but most results are back in weeks.
